Where is The Farm?

It is approximately 1 mile south of the stoplight, located on Barnwood Drive in Buena Vista.

How do I get a loan for an off-site stick built home?

Though you may use your lender of choice, we recommend buyers with 20% down work with Glynis Laub at High Country Bank and buyers with a lower downpayment work with Marni McMillan of VIP Mortgage. Both are very experienced with this process and will help you find the best rates. Please reach out with any questions with any questions; we are happy to walk with you through this process. Are you using gas or electric?​

All of the homes in The Farm are electric.

What does fee simple mean for The Taylor & Glenn?

Fee simple means that you own the land under your unit and your unit. Though walls and roof touch, you own and are responsible for what is on your land.

Will there be an HOA? What are the fees for that?

Yes. The Homeowner Association (HOA) will maintain all of the public green spaces and parks as well as hold community promoting events. It will enforce the Covenants and help to protect the value of the homes in The Farm. The HOA fees will be around $75 per month.

Are rentals allowed? Short term? Long term?

Yes. Rentals are allowed. However, our main goal with this community is homeownership for residents of Chaffee County. That said, all rentals must be for at least 3 months. This will better protect full-time residents and homeowners, but also allow for investment properties. Rental agreements must be reviewed and approved by the HOA board.

I have heard this is for Buena Vista residents. Is this deed restricted?

No, home ownership here is not deed restricted. While our goal is to provide home ownership for residents of Buena Vista and Chaffee County, we also realize the need for growth here in Buena Vista. We have chosen not to market outside of town so that the first rights can be had by town residents who are currently renting or looking for a new home. However, we are not preventing sales to non-Chaffee County residents.

Can I customize my home?

Yes! You can choose from our 6 floor plans. We have optimized our homes at the base level and then also provided upgraded options for you! You can choose from the packages or go through and choose upgrades on your home a la carte! Unfortunately, you cannot change the floor plans.
