A neighborhood designed for community

The Farm at Buena Vista

The Farm is a "pocket community" where homes face shared green spaces, and residents access their houses from the back of the lot along a one-way alley. Located minutes from Historic East Main Street, South Main, and the Arkansas River corridor, this close-knit neighborhood features contemporary farmhouse architecture and epic front porches. In addition, the Farm has fiber optic internet throughout, providing residents with some of the fastest internet speeds in the area.

Types of Homes

The community consists of single-family homes, townhomes, and an upcoming apartment. As of 2021, all homes are manufactured at the Fading West Building Systems factory in Buena Vista, Colorado.

About the development

The Farm is the first Fading West Community developed to provide an attainable, safe, beautiful, and diverse neighborhood for the local workforce. Construction started in 2015, and once completed, there will be 218 units at the Farm. Phase I concluded in 2021 and consisted of 90 housing units. Phase II construction began in 2022 and includes 11 detached homes, 40 townhome units, a 77 unit apartment complex, and four new green spaces!

Community, not just housing

The Farm at Buena Vista is more than just another neighborhood – it's a community, and any good community comes with amenities for the locals. So when we built The Farm, we intentionally embedded elements into the neighborhood design to facilitate interactions among neighbors and opportunities for building relationships.

Community Green Space

Shared Green Spaces

Get outside AND Play

Once Phase II is complete, there will be seven parks. These open grassy spaces are an excellent place to let the kids play, walk the dog, throw a frisbee, or hang out with your neighbors. The HOA maintains these parks, keeping them beautiful and accessible to all.

Propane Fire Pit & Grills

Hang Out or Cook out

Two communal grills are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The HOA keeps the gas tanks full, so all you have to do is bring the grillables and enjoy the view! In addition, the fire pit is a great place to congregate in the summer or winter: circle around and swap stories or roast marshmallows.

Community Pavilion

Pavilion & Picnic Tables

Gather with friends and family

The pavilion is the perfect place to meet your neighbors. This large structure provides shade and houses two picnic tables. The grills and fire pit are next to the pavilion, making this THE SPOT to connect with your community. The HOA often hosts family-friendly happy hours on Fridays. However, the space is open to all and free to use.
